When you sign up for Water Street’s Loyalty Rewards, you earn three reward points for every dollar you spend at any of our café locations. These points can be redeemed for discounts OR you can choose to donate a portion directly to our Featured Non-Profit. From January through March 2025, our Featured Non-Profit is Twelve Baskets.

Twelve Baskets is a volunteer-run food pantry serving Portage, Schoolcraft, Vicksburg, Three Rivers and other surrounding communities since 2014. Beginning 10 years ago, Twelve Baskets was providing lunches to hungry school children. Now, as of the end of 2024, they are now providing groceries to about 350 families weekly. A Free Store was opened in 2018 to help meet basic clothing, hygiene and household needs. 

Twelve Baskets is an organization with hearts to serve the community. Operated entirely on donations and through the hard work of volunteers. It now takes more than 400 hours of volunteer help each week to pick up, deliver, store, sort and distribute all of the donated goods. Their mission is to lead the fight against hunger in our community by bridging the gap between need and excess, while restoring hope, dignity, and self-respect.

Thanks to the generosity of the communities served by the Twelve Baskets Pantry and their volunteers, their Free Store is open to all who are in need. Located next to their Pantry at 10330 Portage Road, their inventory usually includes clothing for adults and children, footwear, baby & adult diapers/wipes, small kitchen appliances, dishes, toys, blankets, etc. Shopping hours are Tuesdays, 9am-12pm, 2nd & 4th Fridays, 2pm- 7pm, and 1st & 3rd Saturdays, 9am- 2pm.

Water Street’s Loyalty Rewards Program began in 2018 and features a new non-profit each quarter. With the help of our customers, we've been able to give a total of $16,226 to non-profit organizations to help support the important work they do in our community.
