This Washed Microlot from the Western Province of Rwanda comes to us from the Coop COOPAC, which is comprised of almost 2,200 small scale coffee producers. Boasting access to over 50 washing stations that dot Kivu lake’s landscape, COOPAC actively educates and promotes farmers on organic growing practices, as well as ensuring Fair Trade prices are paid to the farmers. They have also contributed to community based initiatives that include the building of schools, healthcare facilities, bridges and roads, as well as youth and women development programs.
