Papua New Guinea Kunjin - Fresh Crop

Papua New Guinea Kunjin - Fresh Crop

Grown in the Western Highlands of Wahgi Valley in Papua New Guinea by smallholder farmers, this coffee is purchased by a centralized mill where each lot is sorted and processed. Papua New Guinea boasts an incredibly specific grading system, grading coffees not only by screen size, which is common in most other grading systems, but also by bean color, shape, presence of defects, aroma, and cup quality.

This washed coffee is an excellent example of what the region has to offer - sweet, smooth, and citric with notes of lemon, praline, and chocolate.

Aroma: brown sugar, praline
Flavor: limoncello, chocolate, marshmallow
Acidity: lemon, mild
Body: smooth, chocolatey
