Fair Trade Nicaragua Tierra Madre - Fresh Crop
Fair Trade Nicaragua Tierra Madre - Fresh Crop

Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America. Coffee accounts for over $1.2 billion in exports a year and about 15% of the country’s workforce is involved in the coffee sector. Sourced by Aldea Global, a Nicaraguan based farmer association that assists small growers and their communities, this lot is produced under their Tierra Madre label.
Tierra Madre is exclusively produced in the Jinotega region by 125 women coffee producers. This lot is a blend of several women owned farms within the Tierra Madre label. The coffee is picked when the cherries are fully ripe, depulped, fermented overnight, washed, and then placed on raised beds to dry.
This coffee is sweet and savory, with notes of cocoa and cola.
