Ethiopia Natural Ardi

Ethiopia Natural Ardi

Ethiopia is known as the birthplace of coffee, and also the place where human evolution began. This Ethiopia Natural Sidama Ardi honors origins. The clean, smooth, uniquely sweet heirloom variety coffee is named after Ardipithecus Ramidus, an important early human fossil discovered in Ethiopia. The discovery of these fossilized skeletal remains in 2009, which date back 4.4 million years, coincides with the discovery of this coffee, a trademark from our supplier, Keffa Coffee.

The Sidama region’s fertile soil lends rich nutrients and deep color to its coffee. Good weather means good coffee, and this year’s harvest of Ardi is bountiful and flavorful, thanks to healthy rainfall during the growing season. Look for plenty of sweet berry and fruit notes that go perfectly with dark chocolate overtones throughout.

Flavor: tropical fruit, dark chocolate, jammy, sweet
