When you sign up for Water Street’s Loyalty Rewards, you earn three reward points for every dollar you spend at any of our café locations. These points can be redeemed for discounts, OR you can choose to donate a portion directly to our Featured Non-Profit. From July through September 2021, our Featured Non-Profit is Western Michigan University Libraries.
Western Michigan University Libraries is the fourth largest university library system in Michigan. They provide a wide range of resources, programs and services that support the research, creative and academic pursuits of WMU and the global community.
With over 300,000 annual visitors, the University Libraries helps the community access information that fuels personal and professional discovery—from family genealogies to the history of Kalamazoo to research and innovations that can change the world.

The Libraries hosts a number of events for the WMU community and general public. From how-to workshops to local history presentations, the Libraries helps the WMU community learn through extensive research resources and unique archival, local history and special collections.
They recently hosted an online presentation, "Influenza at the Normal: WMU and the 1918 pandemic," for community members to learn about a pandemic that’s cited as one of the worst in our history. Pandemic life was reconstructed for people in Southwest Michigan and at WMU in 1918, using the Libraries' archival photos, historical newspapers and primary documents to tell their stories. Coming fall 2021, the University Libraries will debut its recently acquired archive from award-winning, local authors David Small and Sarah Stewart with a series of community events and exhibits. To learn more, click here.
